Nqutu, Kwa-Zulu Natal

The name being of Zulu origin derived from 'insquthu'- meaning a flat-topped vessel, descriptive of a nearby hill from which the village takes its name. It is 53 km East of Dundee. Most of the population is Black , 97.89% and therefore the first language is Zulu. The women are the predominant gender, 57.29%, because like in most villages of South Africa, the men venture off to cities, to find work and support their family. The Population in 2011 was 5453, over an area of 5.31km squared.
