Ravenswood House, Hatfield Street, Gardens

Ravenswood House is the only known example in Cape Town of the late classical Georgian Architectural Style of the beginning of the 19th Century. This Double-Storeyed Building was probably erected between 1817 and 1835 by M. A. de Kock, as one of a series of Houses for letting and is situated on a part of the former Welgedaan Property which was granted to G. D. Vreeburg in 1707. (J. P.
