Hammington Silulami Majija

A graduate of Healdtown, he taught in Rhodesia and the Transkei and later worked as business manager of Contact in Cape Town. A prominent figure in the Liberal Party in the 1960s. When he attempted to stand as a candidate in the Transkeian elections of 1963, he was served with banning orders, which confined him to Cape Town for five years.
